This is the story of Brookie and Aly. Thanks for sharing, Brookie!
"Aly first came into my life during my spring semester of my sophomore year at Virginia Tech. It was time for Sorority Recruitment, which meant that I would be talking to hundreds of girls within a span of two weekends. I was nervous considering this was my first time being on the other side of the recruitment process – having to continuously have questions at hand to interview potential new members of Alpha Chi Omega. As you can probably imagine, the process is overwhelming, stressful and can definitely be a little awkward… but talking to Aly was a dream. I remember greeting her at the door and welcoming her into our world of lyres, pearls and Alpha Chi girls during Philanthropy Round. The conversation was effortless and I immediately fell in love. I remember talking to her about the usual stuff – what she was involved in during high school, what her major was (Marketing, by the way!) and why she wanted to join a sorority. But, I distinctly remember her making a silly joke about what she was wearing (I said it once and I’ll say it again… you looked fabulous!) and how contagious her smile was and knew that she was different than any other girl I had talked to. When I saw her run through Alpha Chi’s doors on Bid Day, I was so proud and ecstatic that she chose to be a part of such an incredible sisterhood. Within 8 hours of her receiving her bid, I looked at her and told her that I wanted her to be my Little sister. In hindsight, my strategy could have been perceived as a tad bit aggressive, but luckily the feelings were mutual! I couldn’t imagine having a better Little sister and am so thankful for her friendship. We’ve shared some wonderful memories throughout our years of knowing each other and I am so proud of the woman that she has become. Congratulations on your engagement and on graduation! I can’t wait to see the incredible things that I know you will accomplish. Thanks so much for taking the time to come visit me for a day date! Love you always, Little and see you so soon."
There is no way I was able to choose my favorites for this post. I loved all the pictures and it was so much fun taking them! So here are a few from our session and you can see the entire gallery HERE.
