Every hair does not need to be in place and every smile does not have to be perfect.  Just remember to capture your kids in their everyday moments. Capture their routines and the moments that make your kids who they are.  Even if it is with your smartphone, don't let these moments pass by and think they aren't significant, because they are and they will slip by way too fast!

I really try to do this with my granddaughters. One of their favorite things to do since they were old enough to stand up on their own is go to Becky and Phil's garage and play with the Little Tikes kitchen that is handed down from Brookie. They use rocks as food and the restaurant is always open to anyone who comes along. The dishes are dirty and they get really grimy when they play with it, but they play with it for hours at a time! It is a precious memory and one that I want them to be able to look back on and share with their own children one day. Their hair is far from perfect and their clothes are far from clean, but to me they are perfect in these photos! Their expressions and their little hands preparing the food....priceless.  (Oh...you can find the link to the free download at the bottom of the post....after you look at my photos.....
