I have put together a list of some of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that people ask me about their session.  I will be adding to this list, but for now,  if you are interested in booking a session, there is a lot of great information here.  

What can I expect when I book a session?

During your session, you can expect to relax, have fun and be yourself.  Sure, there may be specific poses I have in mind...or you have in mind, but if you come knowing it is going to be a fun experience we will breeze right through those shots.  I want to give you the best possible photography experience. 

What should I wear?

It definitely depends on your personal preference, but I can certainly tell you what I think.  Be comfortable. Unless you are a bride, don't wear white. The best way to dress a family is in coordinating colors.  Choose a color scheme. Stick to one or two main colors complimented by a neutral. There are tons of Pinterest boards that show great color combinations. HERE is the link to my Pinterest Board.  By all means, you should accessorize! Jewelry, hats, jackets, sunglasses, scarves, etc., bring them with you! Seniors are encouraged to make the session their own by bringing several outfit changes.

Where do you shoot?

Again, this depends on your personal preference.  It should be someplace that has a special meaning to you....within reason of the Rockbridge County, Buena Vista, Lexington area.  Outside of this area mileage will be charged.

Can I bring my own props to the shoot?

Absolutely! As a matter of fact I encourage it! Bring something that is personal to you and you think is cool. ....balloons, chalkboards, books, a special chair...ANYTHING!

The session is over, now what?

Editing for a normal portrait session will take up to 1 1/2 weeks.  When the editing is complete I will send you an email informing you that your photos have been placed in an online gallery for you to view.  If you have a facebook page, I will post a link to the gallery on your page as well.  You will be able to see your photos and invite your family and friends to view the photos as well.  When you have decided on your order, you can:

1. Place the order yourself from the gallery.

2. Email me your order and I will place it for you.  The order will be shipped directly to your home.

3. Set up an appointment to have a viewing or your photos and place your order with me.

It takes approximately a week for the photos to arrive after you have paid the order invoice.

Why do you take so many pictures of the same pose?

You will hear my camera clicking alot during your session! I take lots of images in order to capture that perfect smile, or perfect look, or perfect moment. You won't get all the pictures I take, I will choose the best images from your session.

What types of payment do you accept?

Currently I accept cash, checks,  and payment by credit card for invoices.  

Do you photograph special events and parties?

Yes, I do.  I am available for anniversary parties, birthday parties, baby or bridal showers, family reunions, and other special events.  I charge $50 per hour for events.  Prints and digital files are not included.
