If you read my blog post "Get To Know Me" ...#27 says, " I have always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon (not a  tethered one either)" Well this year during the 4th of July Balloon Rally, I had not one, but TWO chances to fulfill my lifelong dream and when I was put on the spot, I couldn't do it! John, knowing that it was something that I had always wanted to do, offered to buy my ticket to ride and I chickened out.  Then when there were empty spaces when Brookie and Ben launched...again...I couldn't make myself do it.

I watched the whole process when Brookie and Ben launched from start to finish. I watched the pilot, Kenny Shumate, who really impressed me with his knowledge and experience.  I am pretty sure that I will be able to do it next year, provided I get to go with Kenny!   I am re-a-l-l-y going to be disappointed in myself if I don't muster up the courage to go!!

Here are some pics from Brookie and Ben's launch on Sunday, July 5.
