Periscope is the newest social media app that I have become obsessed with.  I recently downloaded the app and started following some awesome photographers. Periscope is an app that lets you broadcast live video and share with others. The photographers whom I follow are willing to share valuable information about their workflow, their equipment, live photo shoots....you name it. Since downloading the app, I have seen behind the scenes at some amazing photo shoots, sit in on some awesome Q & A sessions, been on the streets of New York City at night watching a photographer walk up to complete strangers and ask to take their picture, and just recently got to cast a vote for an upcoming class.  You are notified on your iphone by a little chirping noise that lets you know that someone whom you are following is broadcasting live!  I swear, everytime I tune into a broadcast, I learn something new.  Periscope isn't just for photographers.  I am also following people like Oprah Winfrey....yesterday she periscoped her arrival at the David Letterman Show to tape for an upcoming show.
